Beverly A. Mominee, 83 of Oregon, OH, died Friday, June 26, 2015, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Born October 22, 1931, in Jonesville, MI, she was the daughter of Oliver J. and Clara B. (Lusk) VanHorn. She received her certification as a medical assistant from the Elkhart Business University. She married William J. Mominee on June 27, 1960. He preceded her in death on June 24, 2000. Beverly was employed by several physicians in the Toledo area for over 30 years until her retirement. She was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Oregon, OH and the Medical Assistants Society of Toledo. She enjoyed wildlife, gardening and volunteering at St. Charles Mercy Hospital.
Beverly is survived by her nieces, Sharon (Mike) Knowlton, Jennifer (Paul) Kluczynski, Georjeanne (Ted) Taylor and Terrie (Steve) Ball; nephews, Dan (Lisa) Mominee and David (Ondrea) VanHorn; Sister-in-law and very good friend, Helene Mominee; great nieces and nephews, Kristyn Peters, Dylan, Dalton and Derek Kluczynski; Lauren (Josh) West; great great nieces and nephews, Ethan, Logan and Allie Peters, and Molly and Kaydence West. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, William E. and R. Duane VanHorn and brother-in-laws, Harold and George Mominee.
Visitation will be from 3-8 pm Thursday, July 2, 2015, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where the Rosary will be prayed Thursday at 6:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am Friday, July 3, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2214 Manhattan Street, Erie, MI, where she will lie in state after 10:00 am. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio and Juvenile Diabetes Association.
